Managed to get a good evening's observations last week. Got wonderful views of the Orion Nebula (M42). I have posted an image iin my album (for those that are interested in those things.

I've had a week of great sky watching oppertunities and saw comet holmes 17P for the first time. I managed to get some pictures of it and they are in my photo album. This comet tales about 13 yrs to come back so it was an experience I was glad to witness. It will be visible for a while yet it is visible withe the naked eye, on a clear night, but using binoculars will make sure that you get a good view.
